In Finland, Sandvik operates in Tampere, Turku and Lahti and employs approximately 2,700 people. Tampere is a key Sandvik technology hub for underground and surface drilling, automation, digitalization and autonomous mining solutions. The site includes a test mine, automation operations, and a technology and digitalization competence centre where new data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities are developed and tested for safer, more productive and more sustainable mining.
