The AI ​​Finland 2020 event is an international virtual conference focusing on business research collaboration in AI. The aim is to create an AI Finland concept that brings together companies and top-level research instances in different themes and areas each year. The AI ​​Finland event starts in Tampere, the heart of Finnish industry scene, and focuses thus on sustainable smart production.

The French AI Strategy: an openness to close bilateral partnerships and a desire to tie in with the European Coordinated Plan, for a Stronger Digital Europe
Conceived in 2018, the French National AI Strategy is the subject of a first progress report. It will soon be adjusted to fully integrate the new European Priorities. It will comprise two important new components, serving the ecological transition and smarter education. Aware that both digital Europe and digital France must be strenghtened on value chains and aim for greater sovereignty on critical segments, France promotes the idea of close bilateral partnerships and supports the guidelines announced by the new Commission. In particular, franco-finnish cooperation within the field of AI deserves to be supported and deepened.

Upright is building a new type of AI-based quantification model for the net impact of companies. Upright’s model utilizes scientific papers and machine learning to summarize how companies impact the environment, the health of people, the society, and the creation and distribution of knowledge. At the core of the model is a neural network that has been taught to classify causalities in natural language.
